Food fight against superbug: simple diet change may shield vulnerable cancer patients
NCT ID NCT04940468
Summary
This study tested whether a simple diet change—eating more fiber and less fat—could prevent C. difficile infections from coming back in cancer patients. It focused on people with leukemia or lymphoma who had just had their first or second C. diff infection. The trial was small and ended early, so more research is needed to know if this approach works.
