Can Mom's diet rewrite her milk? study tests mediterranean meals

NCT ID NCT03744429

Summary

This study looked at whether providing healthy Mediterranean-style meals to obese breastfeeding mothers for 4 weeks would change the fat content of their breast milk. Researchers enrolled 32 mothers and also measured their infants' growth to see if any milk changes affected development. The goal was to understand how a mother's diet might influence what nutrients her baby receives through breastfeeding.
