Can your diet influence chronic hives treatment? new study investigates

NCT ID NCT07431658

First seen Feb 28, 2026 · Last updated May 22, 2026 · Updated 13 times

Summary

This study looks at how diet and oxidative stress (an imbalance of harmful molecules in the body) relate to chronic spontaneous urticaria (CSU), a condition causing itchy hives and swelling. Researchers will compare adults with active CSU to healthy volunteers, tracking their food intake and measuring oxidative stress markers in blood. For CSU patients receiving omalizumab, these factors will be rechecked after 3 months to see if they affect treatment success.
