Food as medicine: testing Diet's power against Crohn's and colitis
NCT ID NCT07389161
Summary
This study is testing whether switching to a Mediterranean-style diet and making lifestyle changes can help young adults with Crohn's disease or ulcerative colitis. Researchers will enroll 160 participants with moderately active disease to follow the diet for four weeks while tracking exercise, sleep, and quality of life. The goal is to see if these changes reduce gut inflammation and improve symptoms without requiring new medications.
