Could a simple diet change ease your surgery pain?

NCT ID NCT04219956

Summary

This study is testing whether following a specific diet low in certain food compounds (polyamines) for one week before and after major abdominal surgery can help reduce post-operative pain. Researchers want to see if this diet lowers patients' pain scores and their need for morphine painkillers in the days following surgery. The goal is to find a safe, non-drug method to improve recovery and comfort.
