First seen Jan 09, 2026 · Last updated Jun 15, 2026 · Updated 22 times

Summary

This study looked at whether a diet and physical activity program could help prevent or reduce the metabolic side effects (like weight gain, insulin resistance, and unhealthy cholesterol levels) caused by hormone therapy in men with prostate cancer. Twenty men who were receiving radiation and hormone therapy participated. The results showed that the program helped improve insulin resistance, body weight, waist size, and body fat compared to before the intervention.
