Can a special diet and walking plan protect hearts of men battling prostate cancer?

NCT ID NCT06682390

Summary

This study is testing whether a specific low-calorie, anti-inflammatory diet combined with regular walking can help reduce body fat and improve heart health markers in men with advanced prostate cancer who are on hormone therapy. It will compare how 70 men—35 African American and 35 non-Hispanic white—respond to the program over six months. The main goal is to see if this lifestyle approach works differently for men of different races to control weight gain and heart risks linked to their cancer treatment.
