Can a week of Mediterranean-Style eating boost your brain?

NCT ID NCT06192407

Summary

This study aims to understand how different types of dietary fat affect brain function and memory in healthy older adults. Researchers will provide all meals for 60 participants aged 65-75 for four weeks, testing two different one-week diets: one high in saturated fat (like a typical North American diet) and one high in healthier monounsaturated fat (like a Mediterranean diet). The main goal is to see if changing fat intake for just one week can lead to measurable changes in working memory performance and brain activity.
