Scientists hunt for food fingerprints in blood and urine
NCT ID NCT05580653
Summary
This study aimed to find better, more objective ways to measure what people eat by looking for chemical traces left by specific foods. Researchers fed 30 healthy adults controlled diets containing foods like beef, beans, and eggs in a specific sequence. They then analyzed participants' blood and urine to identify and measure unique markers linked to eating those foods.
