First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 24, 2026 · Updated 23 times
Summary
This study tested a new device called the DiamondTemp Ablation System to treat people with persistent atrial fibrillation (a type of irregular heartbeat) that medication couldn't control. Researchers wanted to see if the device could safely restore a normal heart rhythm for at least 12 months. The study involved 376 adults with persistent AF, and the main goal was to check for serious side effects and how well the treatment worked.
