First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated Jun 13, 2026 · Updated 31 times

Summary

This study tests if a special dialysis fluid (citrate-based with added magnesium) can slow down or prevent hardening of blood vessels in adults on long-term dialysis. About 80 participants will receive either the standard or the new fluid during their regular sessions for 12 months. Researchers will track blood tests and heart health to see if the new fluid helps.
