New dialysis recipe aims to protect hearts of kidney patients
NCT ID NCT07163936
Summary
This study aims to see if changing the ingredients in the fluid used during dialysis can help slow down the hardening of blood vessels, a serious heart risk for people with kidney failure. Researchers will compare two different fluid recipes over 12 months in 80 adults on long-term dialysis. The goal is to find a safer dialysis fluid that might lower the chances of heart problems.
