Doctors' beliefs shape dialysis choices for kidney patients
NCT ID NCT07364292
Summary
This study explored how kidney specialists think about involving patients in choosing their dialysis treatment. Researchers interviewed 25 active kidney doctors across Belgium to understand their beliefs, attitudes, and the challenges they face when discussing options like home dialysis versus clinic-based care. The goal was to identify why some clinics successfully support patient-centered decision-making while others struggle, aiming to improve future education and guidelines for doctors.
