Dialysis type may affect bone health, study finds

NCT ID NCT07212972

Summary

This study compared bone and mineral health in 167 adults with chronic kidney disease who were receiving either hemodialysis or peritoneal dialysis. Researchers analyzed patients' existing blood test results to understand how the two dialysis methods might differently affect bone-related health markers. The goal was to gather knowledge to potentially improve future care, not to test a new treatment.
