New hope for dialysis patients: extra filter aims to clean blood better

NCT ID NCT05639010

Summary

This study is testing if adding a weekly blood-filtering treatment (hemoperfusion) to standard dialysis helps remove more harmful waste products from the blood of people with kidney failure. Researchers will measure levels of specific substances linked to complications and check if patients feel better, sleep better, and have less itching. The goal is to see if this combined approach improves disease management and quality of life for people who rely on long-term dialysis.
