First seen Jan 07, 2026 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 19 times

Summary

This study will test if a new, less invasive biopsy method (transcervical true-cut biopsy) can accurately diagnose different types of uterine growths, including cancer. The goal is to see if this simple outpatient procedure can reliably tell benign from malignant masses, helping women avoid unnecessary surgery for harmless growths while ensuring those with cancer get the right treatment quickly. The study will enroll 42 women who are already scheduled for surgery to remove a uterine mass.
