First seen Jan 09, 2026 · Last updated May 17, 2026 · Updated 15 times

Summary

This study tests whether an advanced MRI scan can more accurately detect a condition called anterior ischemic optic neuropathy, which causes sudden vision loss. Researchers will add an 8-minute scan to the standard brain and visual MRI for 250 adults with suspected symptoms. The goal is to see if the new scan can identify the condition better than current methods.
