Scientists test spicy creams on feet to unlock nerve pain mystery
NCT ID NCT07237022
Summary
This study aims to understand the basic skin reactions to common irritants like capsaicin (found in chili peppers) in healthy people. Researchers will apply creams to volunteers' feet and measure blood flow and pain to create a baseline. The goal is to gather knowledge that could later help understand why people with diabetes develop painful nerve damage.
