New wound treatment tested for stubborn diabetic foot sores
NCT ID NCT06511596
Summary
This study tested whether adding a special graft made from donated placental tissue (called BR-AC) to standard wound care could help heal diabetic foot ulcers better than standard care alone. It involved 71 adults with a chronic foot ulcer that had not healed for over a month. Participants were randomly assigned to receive either the new graft plus standard care or just standard care for 12 weeks, with careful weekly monitoring of the wound.
