New cell therapy tested to heal diabetic foot wounds
NCT ID NCT04569409
Summary
This study tested a new treatment called ALLO-ASC-DFU, which is a sheet made from donor cells, to see if it could help heal foot ulcers in people with diabetes. It was compared to a placebo sheet in 104 patients with ulcers that had not healed for over 4 weeks. The main goal was to see if more people achieved complete wound closure with the new treatment.
