Scientists map foot pressure to predict diabetic falls and ulcers
NCT ID NCT07084922
Summary
This study aimed to understand the link between how pressure is distributed on the soles of the feet and a person's balance when they have diabetic foot complications. Researchers measured 32 adults with early-stage diabetic foot using special pressure mats and balance boards under different standing conditions. The goal was to identify patterns that could signal a higher risk of foot ulcers or falls, which could help guide future prevention strategies.
