Could a One-Time procedure free diabetics from insulin shots?

NCT ID NCT06655740

Summary

This small, early-stage study is testing a new medical procedure for people with type 2 diabetes who require insulin. Doctors use a special device to apply radiofrequency energy to the lining of the first part of the small intestine (the duodenum). The main goal is to see if this procedure, sometimes combined with a diabetes medication (semaglutide), is safe and can help patients stop needing insulin injections while still keeping their blood sugar under control.
