Can a short insulin pump 'Reset' help newly diagnosed diabetes?
NCT ID NCT01471808
Summary
This study tested if using a short-term insulin pump along with different oral diabetes pills could lead to better long-term blood sugar control in people newly diagnosed with type 2 diabetes. It involved 264 participants who had not yet taken any diabetes or cholesterol medication. The main goal was to see if this intensive start to treatment could lead to a period of remission, where the body manages blood sugar better on its own.
