Can a 'Smart' insulin pump outperform pills for protecting diabetic hearts?

NCT ID NCT07241702

Summary

This study aims to find out if an automated insulin pump system is better than standard insulin injections or a specific add-on pill at improving the health of the heart and blood vessels in adults with type 1 diabetes. Researchers will follow 100 participants for a year, measuring markers of heart and blood vessel function. The goal is to see which treatment approach offers better long-term protection against diabetes-related complications.
