First seen May 02, 2026 · Last updated May 17, 2026 · Updated 5 times
Summary
This observational study followed 198 people aged 50–85 with giant cell arteritis or polymyalgia rheumatica to learn more about their risk of developing diabetes. Researchers tracked changes in blood sugar levels and other markers over time, especially in those treated with steroids or interleukin-6 inhibitors. The goal is to better predict and understand diabetes in these patients.
