New drug combo trial aims to send diabetes into remission
NCT ID NCT07374328
Summary
This study is testing two different three-drug combinations to see which is better at controlling high blood sugar and potentially putting newly diagnosed type 2 diabetes into remission. It will involve 240 adults recently diagnosed with diabetes and high blood sugar levels. One group gets a weekly injection plus two pills, while the other gets three different pills, all for eight months, followed by a three-month period where medication may be stopped if blood sugar is well-controlled.
