Summary
This study tested whether giving extra, personalized help to people who weren't losing weight early in a standard diabetes prevention program could help them succeed. It involved 403 Black adults at high risk for diabetes who were part of community programs, mainly in churches. Researchers identified 'nonresponders' after a few weeks and offered them additional phone support and resources to try to boost their weight loss over 6 months.
