Doctors track silent heart threat in diabetics over time
NCT ID NCT05801432
Summary
This study aims to understand how and why fatty plaque builds up in the heart arteries of people with diabetes over many years. Researchers will follow a group of over 500 Korean patients who had a special heart CT scan years ago, and see how their scans have changed. The goal is to learn which factors lead to worsening plaque, which can help guide future care.
