First seen Jun 24, 2026 · Last updated Jul 23, 2026 · Updated 3 times

Summary

This study tests whether showing patients with diabetes short animated videos (in English or Spanish) about diabetic eye disease can improve their understanding and increase how often they return for follow-up eye exams. About 150 patients at Zuckerberg San Francisco General Hospital will watch the videos during a clinic visit. Researchers will measure changes in knowledge and check electronic records to see if follow-up rates improve.
