Diabetes drugs show promise for easing arthritis pain
NCT ID NCT07360457
Summary
This study aims to see if two common types of diabetes medications can help control osteoarthritis symptoms in people who have both type 2 diabetes and arthritis. It will compare the effects of GLP-1 and SGLT2 inhibitor drugs against standard care on joint pain, stiffness, and physical function. The goal is to understand if these diabetes treatments can also improve quality of life by better managing arthritis.
