Do popular diabetes drugs weaken muscles and bones? new study investigates.

NCT ID NCT07156331

Summary

This study aims to understand if certain diabetes and weight-loss medications (like Ozempic and Mounjaro) cause harmful loss of muscle mass or weaken bones. Researchers will use advanced body scans and strength tests to track 20 patients starting these drugs over one year. The goal is to learn how to predict who is most at risk, so doctors can better protect their patients' strength and mobility.
