Diabetes drug showdown: which Add-On works better?
NCT ID NCT03499704
Summary
This study compared two different add-on medications for people with type 2 diabetes whose blood sugar wasn't well controlled on their current two-drug therapy. About 133 participants in South Korea were randomly assigned to add either pioglitazone or dapagliflozin to their existing treatment for 26 weeks. The main goal was to see which add-on drug was better at lowering long-term average blood sugar levels.
