New test could help doctors Fine-Tune diabetes treatment faster

NCT ID NCT05227677

Summary

This study tested whether using a newer blood test called glycated albumin (GA) helps manage type 2 diabetes better than the standard test (HbA1c). It involved 200 newly diagnosed patients in China. Doctors in one group used the GA test results to adjust medications earlier, while the other group followed standard guidelines. The goal was to see if this led to better blood sugar control after 12 weeks.
