Simple 'Garbage Truck' analogy tested to help control blood sugar
NCT ID NCT07265245
Summary
This study looked back at whether a new way of explaining diabetes during clinic visits could help people manage their blood sugar better. It tested a method called M2-PRIME, which uses simple analogies like comparing insulin to a garbage truck, to help patients understand their condition. The study involved 106 people with type 2 diabetes who use insulin and had high blood sugar levels. Researchers checked if their average blood sugar improved after having up to three consultations using this new approach over six months.
