First seen Mar 16, 2026 · Last updated May 24, 2026 · Updated 15 times
Summary
This study tests whether a combination of pioglitazone and tirzepatide works better than metformin plus sitagliptin for people recently diagnosed with type 2 diabetes. About 256 adults aged 18-75 who are either not on diabetes drugs or only on metformin will take part. The goal is to see which combo keeps blood sugar (HbA1c) below 6.5% for longer.
