New colonoscopy prep could cut hypoglycemia risk in diabetes patients
NCT ID NCT07526103
First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026
Summary
This study aims to find a better colonoscopy preparation method for people with diabetes. Current prep methods can cause low blood sugar and poor bowel cleaning. The new approach uses a low-fiber diet the day before and same-day preparation to reduce risks. About 40 adults with diabetes will test this protocol to see if it leads to fewer hypoglycemic events and better colon visualization.
