Can cultural coaches help immigrants beat diabetes?
NCT ID NCT06131411
Summary
This study tested whether a health coaching program designed with input from immigrant communities works better than standard care to help people manage type 2 diabetes. Researchers compared the two approaches over 12 months in 202 first-generation immigrants with diabetes. The goal was to see if culturally sensitive support improves blood sugar control, diet, exercise, and medication adherence.
