Promising therapy for dissociative disorders put to the test

Summary
This study tests a new type of talk therapy called dissociation-focused cognitive behavioral therapy (DF-CBT) for people with dissociative disorders, such as depersonalization or dissociative identity disorder. The goal is to see if DF-CBT can reduce symptoms like feeling detached from yourself or your memories. About 140 adults will be randomly assigned to receive DF-CBT or continue their usual care, and their symptoms will be measured after 3 months.
