Sugar water may fix leaky lungs after surgery, new trial hopes

Summary
This study tests if injecting a sugar solution (dextrose) through a chest tube can seal air leaks after lung surgery faster than standard care. About 80 adults with persistent air leaks will be enrolled. The goal is to reduce time with a chest tube and hospital stay.
