Sugar shot showdown: can simple injections ease chronic shoulder pain?
NCT ID NCT07428512
Summary
This study tested whether injections of 5% or 10% dextrose (a type of sugar water) around a shoulder nerve could help people with long-lasting shoulder pain. It involved 120 adults whose pain hadn't improved with standard treatments like medication or physical therapy. Researchers compared how well the two different strengths reduced pain, improved shoulder movement, and lessened fear of moving the joint.
