First seen Feb 26, 2026 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 13 times

Summary

This study tested two strengths of dextrose (sugar water) injections around a key shoulder nerve in 120 adults with chronic shoulder pain lasting over 6 months. The goal was to see which concentration—5% or 10%—better reduces pain, improves movement, and lessens fear of activity. Participants received ultrasound-guided injections and were followed for changes in pain, range of motion, and daily function.
