New sedative may make lung procedure easier and safer

Summary

This study compares two sedatives, dexmedetomidine and midazolam, given during a lung procedure called medical thoracoscopy. The goal is to see which drug helps patients feel less pain, recover faster, and have fewer complications. About 56 adults with unexplained fluid around the lung will take part.
