Summary
This study tested whether a chlorhexidine-alcohol scrub is better than povidone-iodine at preventing infections after a medical thoracoscopy, a procedure to take a sample from the lining of the lung. 100 adults with undiagnosed fluid around the lung took part. The goal was to see which cleaner reduces the chance of wound or lung space infections.
