Summary
This study looked at whether dexmedetomidine, a sedative, can protect the brain in people with brain injuries. Sixty patients were split into two groups: one received the drug, the other did not. Researchers measured how awake patients were (using the Glasgow Coma Scale) and how long they stayed in intensive care.
