First seen Nov 20, 2025 · Last updated May 13, 2026 · Updated 29 times

Summary

This study tests whether adding dexmedetomidine to standard anesthesia (desflurane) helps people undergoing laparoscopic colon surgery. Researchers want to see if the combination reduces the amount of anesthesia needed, keeps heart rate and blood pressure more stable during surgery, and speeds up recovery afterward. The trial involves 40 adults aged 18-65 who are scheduled for elective laparoscopic colectomy.
