Summary

This study tests a new cochlear implant that slowly releases a drug called dexamethasone to reduce swelling and tissue damage after surgery. The goal is to see if this helps the implant work better and improve hearing in adults with severe hearing loss. About 56 adults will receive the implant and be monitored for up to 6 months.
