First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 14, 2026 · Updated 21 times

Summary

This study is testing a new spinal implant (DEXA-C) that is customized based on a patient's bone density scan. The goal is to see if it helps the bones in the neck fuse better after surgery for degenerative disc disease. About 80 adults who are already scheduled for neck fusion surgery will take part. Researchers will check fusion rates at 3, 6, and 12 months after surgery using X-rays, and also track pain and disability levels.
