Experimental device aims to rescue failing kidneys in critically ill patients

Summary

This small, early-stage study is testing a special blood-filtering device in 10 critically ill ICU patients whose kidneys are failing due to severe liver disease. The goal is to see if using the device for 7 days is safe and if it can help improve kidney and liver function. The study is currently suspended and not enrolling new participants.
