Gentle care approach tested to help tiniest babies go home sooner

Summary
This study is testing whether a special nurturing approach called 'developmental care' helps very small premature babies. Researchers want to see if this gentle care helps babies leave the hospital sooner and allows families to be more involved in their care. The study involves 40 hospital neonatal units and 1,600 babies weighing less than 3.3 pounds at birth.
