Summary

This study tests a drug called deuruxolitinib in Japanese adults aged 18-65 with severe alopecia areata, an autoimmune condition causing significant scalp hair loss. Participants must have at least 50% hair loss. The trial measures how well the drug regrows hair and how satisfied patients are with their hair. It is a Phase 3, placebo-controlled study with an open-label extension, meaning all participants can receive the drug later.
