New hope for rare tumors: cutting off blood supply without harsh drugs
NCT ID NCT06945887
Summary
This study is testing a procedure called arterial embolization to treat painful, growing desmoid tumors. Doctors inject tiny particles to block the tumor's blood supply, aiming to shrink it and relieve pain, but without using chemotherapy. The study will enroll about 20 patients aged 12 and older who are not eligible for surgery.
